What are Child name servers?

What are Child name servers?

Child Name Servers are generally called as the 'Secondary Name Servers'. These are also the name servers which are registered with the registry under a user's domain name. It can be registered only by the person who owns the domain.

Generally the resellers practice this method to hide the identity of the provider from where they have hosted the account.

Suppose a provider has name servers ns1.moon.in and ns2.moon.in, the reseller's clients can mention ns1.resellerdomain.com and ns2.resellerdomain.com to hide the identity of the hosting account.
