Domain Forwarding/Redirection:
Domain forwarding is also called as URL redirection/forwarding. It is a technique on the world wide web for making a web page available under many URLs. It allows to redirect web requests of our domain name to content hosted on a different server.
An author may move a site to a new domain name. Using the URL redirects, the incoming requests to the old URL can be redirected to the new URL. This will help the users who use bookmarks and will also avoid searching and detecting the new URL in search engines.
