What is meant by Domain Parking?

Domain parking is a method of registering a domain name and employing it for later use. The person, who owns the domain, will make use of it in future. Normally, the parked domains are saved for future use. Though the site is required only in the future, it is generally booked earlier so that no one else books the same name.

It is also known as inactive domain. It is possible to park a website or domain name, before it is completely launched.

Domain Parking is of two types, 'Monetized and Non-monetized'. In case of Monetized, ads are displayed in site to earn revenue. If it is non-monetized, the 'Page under construction' message will be displayed.

For e.g. 'mysite.com' is the main domain and 'myothersite.com' is the parked domain.
