What is meant by swap memory?
Swap Memory is a Space located in hard disk of a local computer system. Generally the operating systems will utilize the space to store the information, when the amount of physical memory is full, i.e, to free the memory for an application.
The space can be found in the RAM. If a computer owns more RAM, then swap memory is not required in your local computer system.
